Default Channels repeat several times in guide?

I tried to search and couldn't find a result so sorry if this is a newb question but I wondered:

In my on screen guide of subscribed channels, the same channels show up several times on different channels - most HD channels are repeated, all locals are repeated (first begins with 00-02, 00-11 and then they are later on the guide as well) plus Food network HD is early in like the 100's and then later on in the guide as well.

IS this because I am getting them from different sats? It just seems odd to me to say I have 250 channels but so many are just the same ones repeated.

thanks

Thisis the new HDmap down introduced with L4.01 upgrade. Allows you to have HD version of a channel where or next to the SD is/was in the guide. No bandwidth is used just a computer trick.

Then its a pretty weak trick, because the channels are doubled up on the 'ALL HD' favorites list also...and thats a preprogrammed favorites list, so you cant fix it.

Actually you can lock the extra channels out so they won't show on the list any more...

Menu - Locks - Channel Locks, select channels you don't want to show. When done 'Lock System'. Done.

Channel locks (and selecting the do not display locked channels) will skip those channels in all the: All Available, Subscription, HD, and Favorite.
Makes surfing much faster.
