Made me so mad last night, the Cards and Astros were on ESPN HD and they kept having technical difficulties. I bet if that would have been the Yankees-Red Sox they would have had triple redundant cameras. Heaven forbid if anyone would have not been able to see those two teams play and watch Torre pick his nose in HD. I did like it when they had the ESPN Desportes announcers kick in. They were far more entertaining than Miller and Morgan

Come to the other side, Stchman. Cards in HD on DTV.

I realize you may have to give up Indian water throwing on Voom HD, but you will get baseball, and plenty of it.

It would take more than ONE channel to make me switch. I would also have to give up Starz HD as well. DTV calls themselves the leader in HDTV when they give you like 11 HD channel that is including the ST with SF ($379) and HD PPV ($5.99 / movie). So if you just get the Total Choice Premier with HD you get 9 HD channels. Cant count locals as they are not available in all areas. DISH with the HD Platinum gives you 28 HD channels. 9 vs. 28, not a real good comparison and DTV costs more to boot. I will wait until DISH gets FSN HD. BTW DISH has MLB EI in HD so I could get that but I am really only interested in the Cards. The ST might be an option, but I am a season ticket holder to the Rams and spend every other Sunday at the Dome for the whole day. With ESPN, FOX, CBS and NBC I get my fill of the NFL. Is DTV getting NFLHD? You better as there are going to be games this season in HD on Thursday and Sat.

I guess the Mets play on FSN New York? While the Yanks play on YES. I do feel for you having to share a city with another team. Here in St. Louis it is nothing but Cardinals and a sea of red. On the weekends you go down to the Al Hraboksy's and Mike Shannon's after the game and drink. We dont let people into the Stadium unless they wear something red. People come from all over the midwest to see the Cards play. I hear that Mets fans detest the Yankees and the Yankee fans think Mets fans are beneath them. Makes for a good hatred. Here in St. Louis we despise everything Cub.

Maybe we will see you in the NLCS.

I'll toss a wrench in here.
I wish I could get FSN for HD HOCKEY!
I get the Center Ice Package, and I'll bounce back up the the HD 180 package for OLN when the Season starts, but I guess you could call me greedy for wanting MORE Hockey in HD.

There sure was a sea of Red in 2004 after the series celebrating in your stadium, but that was our red, not yours.

I had to do it.

Just a joke... roll with it.

Well stchman, according to the way you count, and you said that included ST so you should take the 11 channels you mentioned,
and add 10 channels to that number for the ST games we get in HD and probably more this year.

"BTW DISH has MLB EI in HD" the MLB HD channels come directly from the FSN's and you just said that FSN was not available on DISH. MLB does not do thier own HD production work.(for EI's)

stchman,
You sound like you’re in about the same situation that I am. Having season tickets to the Ravens, I don't need the NFL Ticket. When they're on the road, I'll watch it at the bar with a dozen TV’s.

Like you, all I need for baseball is the Oriole games. I'm not interested in most of the other games going on. I mean, It's just baseball! There's just too much to do in the summer time anyway.

I know about the huge Cardinal fan base. Now I've always hated the Yankees with a passion but, a friend and I were always big Roger Clemens fans. So we decided to go up to Yankee Stadium the night he went for his 300 wins, 4,000 Ks. We got the tickets on EBay for about $110 a piece for upper left field nose bleed seats. Anyway it was just unbelievable how many Cardinal fans were there. I mean there must have been 15,000 redbird fans there. It was a very impressive showing taking into account the magnitude of what Clemens was going after and being in Yankee Stadium.

You should go to Kansas City when the Cards travel there. I believe the Cards fans were at least 75% that weekend. It was insane.

Default I'm a bit jealous

I'd love me some FSN HD but got tired of waiting for the new HD DVR from D*. I figure by the time they finally release it, Dish will have some FSN HD up and going.

NHL Center Ice uses several if not all of the FSN feeds, and now E* has the NHLHD channel for those of us with a mpeg4 receiver. I'd assume they are using local FSNHD feeds for that too.
So to answer your question, Dish Network already has FSN HD on certain nights and certain sports.
Just don't forget FSN is a NATIONWIDE TV network with LOCAL affiliates.
