I'm looking forward to it, never had Dish before.

And check out the new Dish Explorer app at CES:

i can't post links yet on this forum so go to engadget's website and you'll see it.
Unless you only have 2 people in the house, you would have been better served with 2 Hoppers and 2 Joeys - 6 tuners vs only 3 - Difference is about $100 up front, monthly bill is the same.

Still getting the error set this to record at 9:30 tonight go to play it 3mins after and nothing but black screen. cant stop it once again have to reset but other ppl are watching tv. so missed one show and another one is set to record at 10 but i have a feeling it will happen once again. im missing Directv none of this happened when i had them and its really annoying after a few sec's before each show is over it pause's like lag when your playing an online game no matter what show or channel live tv or dvr. i am tired of the POS Hopper and really about to beat it with a hammer witch one day i will.

Hopper 2? You mean the Hopper W/ Sling as apposed to Hopper 2000? I would actually suggest getting the Hopper 2000 and buying a sling adapter. If the HwS is $200, you would be better off, as the H2K is $50 and the sling adapter is another $50... meaning $100. Also, if you do it that way, if you ever decide to upgrade to the 'latest and greatest' down the road, you can keep the sling adapter and may be able to use it on your new hardware... or sell it...

Soid my sling when I left dish, darn it. But that said

If you have 2 hoppers, and 2 joeys, can each sling see what's on both hoppers?

(and can joey control both hoppers?)

To Sling to both Hoppers, you need sling equipment on both receivers; either 2 Sling Adapters or Hopper w/Sling and 1 Sling Adapter. Also, you can only sling to 1 receiver at a time. Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks.

Default Back to back playback

we just got the Hopper w/sling and a plain Hopper and 2 joeys. With Direct we could start a recorded series and it would play them all in a row if you wanted without having to start each new one. Have not found a way for Dish being able to do this, can it be done.
Thank you

That feature is not currently available on our Hopper models, but it does sound like an interesting idea. I will forward that along for you!
