Default VIP722 vs VIP722K

We are waiting to receive the third replacement (in six months) for our VIP722 due to power problems with the unit. The second one was received yesterday and we and the techs at Dish Network could not get it to work correctly. (The green power light is on, but no tuner lights - yellow or blue will come on - according to the Tech, this is a power problem). The replacements are all remanufactured units.

I keep seeing references to the 722K and was wondering what the difference is between the 722 and 722K. Couldn't find this info on Dish website.
Thanks for any info.

The 722K does not have an s-video output and the OTA tuner is an add-on costing around $50. The OTA tuner is a duo allowing you to record two OTA channels at the same time. TV2 can also watch OTA with the 722K.

Also, the 722k has the capability to back up some information to the remote such as timers, and receiver settings (20.X and 21.X remote are required).
