Default Support for Three Rooms

Trying to make a decision on switching from cable to Dish TV. Problem is that I am wired already in each room with coax. Family room and bedroom would require HD. Guest room would be SD.

What is the easiest way to hook this configuration up?
Thanks

not sure how being prewired is a problem....unless there are hidden splitters or something.

You will need 2 receivers to accomplish your 3 tv setup

One 722 and a 211

the 211 could also be a 612 for dvr service but it might cost $100 up front to do so.

use a referral code to get $50 off your first bill then that makes the $100 charge not seem so bad to get 2 dvrs boxes.

Does the 722 contain two receivers that can have different channel HD access. Does that mean you have to run a second coax from "out" on the back of the 722 and run it to second room requiring HD?

722 had one HD and one sd output. If you want two HD feeds, you need two receivers.

They backfeed tv2 over the same coax back to your splitter/cable room. Or if you want you can just go right from tv2 to the 2nd tv if you feel like it.

The 722 can watch or record 2 in HD, the tv2 can watch HD shows and channels, its just in standard definition

I named to somehow talk to a local Dish install guy and if needed pay him to come out and look at my set up. I have cable tv coming in to a comm box in the laundry room. The cable feed goes in to a powered amp then rg6 coax goes out to five locations in house.

I do see two "sat in" connectors on the power amplifier. I need HD in two locations and SD in 2-3 locations. Separate channel selection required in 4 locations.

id go with 2 722 receivers, feeding total of 4 tuners to your 5tvs

all with have dvr service

Not really any reason for someone to come look.......they will use the existing cables if they are rg6, no amps required, the duo receivers have them built in

The only new cables might be from the dish to your cable room

But doesn't that mean that if the two receivers are in the family room and bedroom, a second coax needs to be run from each room back to my comm box to connect to the coax going to the other rooms. I really do not understand how sat. Wiring works.

Really, dont worry about wiring, they use the wires you have, if you cant follow the diagram i posted just forget about the setup they do, its very confusing to some people even after it being explained numerous times, they will not need to cut your walls down or remodel your house.

Just let them do it.

My concern is that I invested a lot of money in having my house coax wired and my fear is that the easy way out is to drill a hole in each room floor and run wires out to the dish.

I run 7 hd tvs off the Home distribution coax output on the back of the VP 722 into a uhf/vhf cable amplifier and standard coax. You can control what channel this gets outputted on. I use channel 21 to get away from local interference. tune all the tvs to that channel. We usually only watch live feeds or DVR feeds but like to walk from room to room and see the same show playing on all tvs.nice when you need to go get a drink or bathroom break. But won't work for families that all want to watch different programs
