getting my hd hooked up wends. and going to hook up by dvi. i have a samsung hln-dlp. is it better to let the reciever do the conversion to 720 or should i set it to 1080 anf let the tv do the conversion? thanks

Set the 811, (or 921) to 1080i, and leave it. No need to do any switching afterwards.

Your DLP is a digital display and uses 720p pricture format as native resolution. View your picture with the STB in 1080i then 720p and see the difference. But you would normally let the TV make the change. CBS, NBC and PBS transmit in 1080i while ABC, ESPN and FOX transmit in 720p.
