Default Help Needed - Can't Locate Dish Network 110 & 129.

I recently purchased the Dish Network 1000.2 Turbo HD and have tried to install it for over 2 weeks but still haven't been able to locate the 110 & 129. I have checked and re-checked the mast with the leveler to make sure it is straight & plum and covered the 2 outside lnb antennas (110 & 129) with aluminum foil as suggested by many members in the forum. I live in Cerritos, California and per the 1000.2 installation, it shows the setting as: 168 (Az), 49 (EL) 92 (Sk), however in order for me to pickup the 119 signal, I had to raised the Elevation from 49 to about 57 and the best signal strength I could get for the 119 is only around 68. Many forum members have stated that if one can locate the 119 with the center lnb antenna then the 110 & 129 should come in by slightly adjusting the skew but it has not been working for me (yes, I have removed the aluminum foil which was used to cover the 2 outer antennas & also purchased another lnb block just to be sure it's not the internal switch.) I'm beginning to wonder if I have pointed my dish at the optimum position? Is signal strength of 68 is too low for the 119 but that's the best I could get after 2 weeks of trying. Any ideas? Thank you for your help in advance.

i think you might need to adjust little bit the position of your lnb. it would be difficult to picture out your satellite dish position, but if you are getting low signals, it is just on the adjustments.

68 is a pretty good signal for 119, don't mess with the skew, but tweak your AZ and EL to find 110 and 129.

Make sure the Point Dish screen shows you are locked to Echostar 119 West and that your skew being 90 has the lnb almost horizonal with the left side (west) being slightly lower.

I have found that on my D500 I have had to raise the elevation some over the book value to find 61.5.

If all else fails, contact a local Dish installer and see how much they would charge to align your dish.

Ok so I left the skew at 90 and adjusted the Az and El bit by bit. After a few more adjustments, I left the EL at ~ 57 (best signal strength on 119 at ~68) then adjusted the Az a little bit by rotating the dish to the left (facing the dish) to catch the 110. It came in but then I lost the 119 and it's starting to rain hard here in Southern Cal. I figure the Az setting has to be somewhere between the original position and the new position to catch both 110 & 119. What do you guys think? Anyway, weather forecast indicated it will rain here in the Southern Cal for the next few days so I guess I will give it another try when it clears up. Thanks for all your help.
