Hi!
I've been having this problem with my VIP 622 (installed 3 years ago). The Audio Level difference between channels can get very extreme. In particular, if an HD channel has Dolby Digital, the output is considerably lower than an SD channel without Dolby Digital. With my H-K receiver, listening volume for an HD channel is usually in the -20 to -30 db range, but if I switch to an SD channel, say NASA TV or BBCA, I have to drop the volume down to -40 to -50 db, lest I ( and my neighbors) get blasted out of the building.. It's very consistently this way between HD & SD channels. I know it's rare for all channels to have exactly the same audio levels, but this difference is extreme, and has only been happening for a few months. Any suggestions? Thanks!
