Smile New to The Dish Network

Hi Folks, I'm a new customer of the Dish Network and I don't have any real questions about how the system works, but seeing I just joined this forum thought I'd ask a stupid question. LOL

On my remote(it's a 3.0 IR or 119946 version), there is a button labeled "Dish", when I hit the button it brings up the interactive program showing me different menus and 6 channels. My question is how do I setup which channels are being viewed when using this interaction program. I only ask because every time I click on the thing, I have QVC, HSN, Nick, Toon, DISE and MTV displayed. Sure I'm sure these are fine channels but I have never watched one of them and not sure if I ever will.

So the question is, How do I setup which channels are displayed while using this feature or is it even possible to set up what channels are viewed? I'm not losing any sleep over this, but just thought I'd ask a question.

Thanks, Vince

You cannot change those channels, they are controlled by Dish.

Oh well, just thought it would be nice to control it yourself.

Thanks for the reply, Vince

Lightbulb set up your own channel lineups w/favorites!

Did you know that you can set up your own favorites list(s) and save them?

Add as many or as few channels as you like... Set one up for "sports", one for "movies", or whatever~

Then, when you press the guide button, you can toggle between the preset channel lineups and your favorites list(s) by pressing the guide button repeatedly...

Hope that helps you~
