I wonder if it depends on where you live...???

I was just poking around on DISH's website, and was looking at guide info for ESPNU and found this

According to that guide, this Saturday they will be showing four games all in HD...

PS I have America's top 250 package w/HD...

It does look like most all live and recorded games are in HD.

Thumbs down Nope...

I just finished checking here @ home... Although on-line, it looks like ESPNU broadcasts in HD, I guess that DISH does NOT carry it in HD~

On my setup for favorites, I see ESPNU on channel 141 and 148, but neither indicates an HD channel as the other HD channels like ESPN and ESPN2 do... Tuned to each just to be sure, and both were SD broadcasts.

...And if you write and ask them why it's not in HD, you'll get one of their "World Famous" standard form letter type responses.

I watched a couple of plays of a college game on there. One of the worst pictures I've ever seen when watching the SD broadcast on a widescreen HD tv. Had to change the channel, it was bad.

Sucks. Directv has it in high def don't they? I was at my dad's house and he had it on there and I'm pretty sure it was in high def.

Oh well.

There have been rumors on various satellite boards I subscribe to that ESPNU HD might be out on DISH in 1Q 2010. We'll see.

I was just watching ESPNU and I saw they were advertising the Syracuse vs Cincinnati game to be broadcasted in HD on ESPNU... What I understood, even though ESPNU is in SD, we are gonna be able to watch the game in HD, am I wrong???...

Or it could have been directed for other satellite providers who already offer ESPNU HD...

The bottom line, ESPNU is already broadcasting some games and shows in HD regardless of satellite provider...
