you need to point 3 dishes to satellites 110, 119 and 129 if you want HD channels. You are not going to get your local channels. In the future when you`re in Mexico if you find a solution to get local channels, please let us know.

With a 1000.2 dish, we could not receive 110 or 119 a few miles south of Puerto Penasco, but could get 129 as far south as San Carlos (Guaymas), although very spotty due to satellite wobble. I don't think you will be able to get Dish Network any where in Nayarit, without an exceptionally large dish, like 2 meters.

markfoto is right. my 3 dishes are 2 meters. You have to invest in 3 new dishes and a gadget that integrate the signal of the 3 satellites.

Another option will be to have a sling player (HD one) at ur US address and watch and control ur channels from Mexico on PC/Laptop hooked to Tv via broadband.

Last year we received all our stations using direct tv with an oval dish in San carlos. We will again be traveling through in the beginning of November if you want to hook up if you want help.

So...it sounds like you are praising DirecTV, maybe even pitching a sale? It may work in San carlos, but in Nayarit (north of PV) you will still need a 2 meter dish.

Dish has installed disgronificators at the border to neutralize their signal when it crosses the border.
