Default Dish on Demand

I just did a Search for Dish on Demand - no results.

Can someone explain how this works, how you order, the fee and the equipment and connections required?

If the movie is put on your receiver drive what might stop you from burning it to a DVD as it played?

Any additional info about DoD would be welcomed.

You must be connected to either a phone line or via ethernet in order to use Dish on Demand.

Default More on DOD

OK, that is how the order is placed.

But, doesn't the movie go to my hard drive so it can be watched when I want to watch it?

How does it get to the HD? Phone line, Ethernet or from the dish itself?

Which is it? Dish or Ethernet? Could it be either?

I do not have Ethernet connected (do not want). So, does that mean I can always get DOD and will default to Dish?
