NHL Center Ice/MSG HD 'blackout'

Thanks for the response. Bummer. DirectTV is really pissing me off. Between the MSG nonsense and VS it is getting worthless.

well, the good news is that versus is back...

rangerfan in chi-town...., the one thing that subscribing to the sports pack does let you do is watch "rangers in 60" on msghd.. I'm not sure how much that means to you, but its what I have resorted to this season. they are usually played late-night after games or early the next morning. it is the game without period breaks and basically shows the scoring/fights/highlight saves.. AND it IS in HD....

you also get full pre and post game, in HD, with the sports pak... so there are benefits.

The games are indeed blacked out on the MSG feed if you buy the "Sports Package"; neither HD nor SD is shown. And as discussed earlier in this thread, even if you purchase the Center Ice package, the MSG feeds of all NYR, NYI, NJD and Sabres games are available in SD only. The only HD feeds would be the opposing teams feed, and this season it seems like those are only in SD 75% of the time as well.

I am all of a sudden getting MSG HD - not sure why after 1 year plus of only getting SD
