Master list of HD channels NOT offered on DirecTV
I was bored today so I decided to make a list of HD channels NOT on HD. So far my count is 60. If you can think of any more, by all means list them. Here it is:

To give this any kind of relevance, you really need to do a like list for all other content providers. That would allow folks to see who has the most HD content for their customers.
You may also want to do some research on "What is Life" as you appear to not have one. Next time you get so bored, do some volunteer work with an organization that does some good in your area. It will really make you feel good and give you an outlet for the pent-up anger you have for D*.

I never said anything about anger. I was just pointing out the blatant false advertising on the part of DirecTV. and I think there's always room for improvement.
You want some comparison, how bout this. These channels are all in HD 24 hours a day. So 24 times 365 is 9,760 hours of HD content per year per channel, so times 60 that's 525,600 hours of HD content per year altogether. Whats does DirecTV have to match that? Well nothing but they're like "well we got Sunday Ticket" Ok thats on for 6 hours of games a day for 17 days of the year. So that's 102 hours of mostly meaningless games a year. Oh and you can only watch 1 game at a time unless you have a magnifying glass to watch the mix channel with. Which would the 75 percent of DirecTV customers who don't give a shit about NFLST prefer?

I think your RANT is totally bogus. On your so-called "missing-in-action" HD list, the only channel I care about is WGN which I would like to see in HD for the Cubs games only.
I'm an HBO subscriber and they provide most of their meaningful shows in on their HD channel. IF you actually subscribe to all the movie services you list, you need to get a life. IMHO, most of Hollywood is the new "great vaste wasteland" although there are some gems from time to time. I am a recent escapee from Comcast Cable and their bogus HD claims about leading the way ONLY because of their ONDemand crapo movies. After 2 years of no HD playoff baseball on TBS, I pulled that plug. One day soon, all shows will be in HD, but it takes big money to send up the birds to beam down all that bandwidth. |

i dont need to prove anything glenn. the truth is out there, DirecTV is no longer the HD leader except when it comes to sports packages that no one gives a damn about.
also last I checked DirecTV has 15 infomercial channels.

TomCat, since you are obviously very unhappy with D*, why not shut it off, go away and leave us alone....
 Your posts are generally some rant about this or that and don't add any helpful content to this board (this rant, the price increase rant, Hot Pass rant, etc) (How do I qualify this as a rant...3 posts in a row within a few minutes with no other posts in between) And if you are under a 2 year commitment, we'll take up a collection for the disconnect fee so you can turn it off......
