Default What HD channels are next?

So, does anybody know when and what will be next in the new HD channel department? It's been a couple of months since any national channels have been rolled out.

Travel channel and ESPNnews should be added some time soon. Well, I have recently counted my HD channels, and looks to me that I'm getting about 57 or 58 of them...(I have everything but showtime) So I believe, when D* claims that they have 100 HD channels available they also include in this number some regional Sports Network Channels, PPV and may be something else. On the other hand, 60 HD channels is really a good deal in my opinion and the new channels should become available as the HD feeds for those networks become available for sat and cable broadcasters...

Travel Channel has been available for 2 weeks now. They even advertise "Also available in HD" on their commercials. What'cha waitin' for, D*?

That sounds about right. If you can punch in a channel and go straight to the HD version, you got the latest software.

From tvpredictions:
Q. Do you know if DIRECTV will add the Travel Channel HD or RFD HD which has Don Imus' new radio show? -- Karen P.
For the past year, the satcaster has made several announcements that it will add a certain high-def channel before it's actually included in its lineup. But it has been silent about the Travel Channel's new high-def network and RFD HD. You can draw your own conclusions.

AMC is a joke. They have commercials, and they don't broadcast in letterbox. So, if they came out in HD, I probably wouldn't watch that one anyway. I would like to see TCM and Fox Movie Channel come out in HD

Not to mention the PBS stations in HD.

I was kind of hoping more of the cities which already have HD locals would get the CW in HD.

I noticed it's the same for me and I'm pretty sure we have the latest software. I get all the other HD channels, but no TVC HD.

Mystic, are you getting TVC in HD?

I don't think the Travel Channel is in HD on Direct yet. The channel itself is simulcasting in HD now, but Direct is not carrying it yet. Don't know who is actually carrying it actually.

Since the channel is owned by Cox, maybe they are holding out on other providers at the moment. Keeping it to themselves as a possible draw for new customers. Just a mybe.

Yeah, only Cox and NCN(?) are carrying it right now. And no, I'm not getting it in HD, assuming TVC is Travel Channel.
