Default Added HD channels still no ch 13 or wb11 In NYC

Added HD channels still no ch 13 or wb11 In NYC I Emailed DTV the other day. I said that with all the new HD channels comming out I still need an OTA antena on my roof to get WNET (ch13) and WB 11 in HD. I ask why ? They could not answner me. May be someone here could. This HD stuff is circle jerk with Cablevision not giving DTV the Hi Def feed for MSG channel and so on. Something needs to be done. Maybe our law makers need to look at this problem and fix it.

Thanks

Fix what? Hardly any markets have the WB or IND stations locally in HD through DTV.

Im in Columbus, we don't get our WB in HD either, or our independent CSN which shows local sports, they don't even carry that one in SD!

It is what it is.

With regard to MSG, I don't know why everyone has such a problem with this. Cablevision OWNS MSG, it owns the teams that play there and if they want to keep their HD feed to themselves for marketing purposes they're entitled to. Besides, I have been a lifelong Knick and Ranger fan, and what they have done to these teams is such a disgrace I don't even watch MSG anymore. But as for PBS, I would love 13 and and the NJ PBS stations. I can't even get them with an OTA.

Fix the problem In my area Cablevision carries both Wnet and Wb 11 in HD for free. DTV carries my local news on NCB NY in HD. I think I would trade the Weather Channel in HD for my local PBS channel in some of the best quality HD going.

Some markets are still waiting for the 4 main networks in HD. CW/PBS will come. Just be patient.

Green Bay, Wisconsin area here...still no Fox HD. It's funny that when a HD show is airing on Fox, "High Definition Provided by DirecTV" flashes on the bottom of the screen. Kind of like rubbing salt in the wound.

None of this would be a problem if the spotbeam didn't crap out on D*10. You'll just have to wait until D*11 goes up. Or move to Charlotte, where we've had HD locals since before D*10 even went up. (Where's that rubbing salt in the wound smiley face?)

Does Dish N have them in HD? I mean, it seems as though evertime DTV releases new stuff, someone isn't happy.

Some markets have no locals in HD, and people are ticked off the CW isn't in HD. The CW is the lowest rated public network on TV... I can see why they are not in a hurry.

Not trying to start something or be mean.. MSG, I can understand, but that's not DTV. Being out of sorts over the CW is really picking at straws.

Cable has it because they don't have 60 other HD channels like DTV has.

Everyone wants it all, which is fine... it will happen some day. Patience, pick your battles. Im sure the world isn't screaming because they missed "7th Heaven" in HD.

I believe the spotbeam problem on DirecTV10 is with the spotbeams pointed at the northwest. But if there are going to be any more locals this side of Christmas, I would have expected DirecTV to concentrate on delivering locals to more cities rather than giving extra channels to those people already receiving HD locals.

nobody said anything about whether or not we were happy im really happy with directv literally almost everything i watch is HD now because directv launched 70 HD channels i wasnt complaining i was simply saying having cw hd would be another luxury to have, seeing smallville in HD would be kool cable doesnt even compare to directv so im not sure why u even mentioned that nobodys complaining we're telling directv what we want next thas y its called "supply and demand" in business

p.s. 7th heaven is off for almost two years if your gonna use an example say something like one tree hill thats actually still on tv lol
