When I set up my HR20-700 last month I chose South Bend, In. for the primary locals OTA and Chicago as secondary locals. This mapped all the OTA digitals for this area. Today I read in the South Bend paper that there were 3 new OTA digitals for South Bend. I went through the OTA setup to see if it would add these new channels. It didn't and now I can not get it to map the Chicago OTA digitals. Using several different Chicago area zip codes I was at first getting some of the channels to map, varying from a few to most of them with several different attempts. I even tried using Chicago as the primary, but with no additional success. Now I get no Chicago channels to map though it does say Chicago/Gary for the zips I enter. For an experiment I tried entering Indianapolis zip and it worked fine. D* tech was totally useless, telling me the receiver does a scan and that I did not have a strong enough signal. I asked them how it could map 7-2 & 7-3 and leave out 7-1 for instance. They said those were 3 separate channels and 7-1 must not be strong enough. I am hoping that D* is working on the data base and the problem will fix itself. Anybody have any helpful info. Especially anyone who could run setup on Chicago OTA locals.
