Installer is at my House and says 74 HD channels are live!
Hey guys,
He finally got out to my house and is currently on the roof installing the dish. I asked him about the delay for the sept 19th channels. He says they are active and that 75 HD channels are working. Says that I will see them all when he gets done. Ill believe it when i see it. Ill keep everyone updated. |

Installers often have no clue...
My experience over the years with D* installers is that they all have VERY different levels of knowledge. Some are true experts, while others know less than I do.
IF those 74 channels are "live" then we'd be seeing fireworks in this and other forums.... BUT... it is strange that he came up with such a specific number.. perhaps he meant the HD channels can be seen with a special card.. I've heard it referred to as "engineering mode" testing... |

Perhaps he meant to say that channel 74 is an HD channel (which it is btw).

so any update on this? Is the installer still trying to "find" them on your TV? LOL.... you should make him go over his installation again, cause obviously he did something wrong.... LOL.
MAKE HIM SHOW YOU!! (just to be a dick about it. Hahahaha) BTW - I got an "E-Dollar" that says this dude NEVER posts back. |

My installer was Jimmy Hoffa and he landed in a spaceship then gave me a blue unicorn.
Anyone else have a similar experience? |

ok, its not true at all. he says he has them at his house but they arent on the guide.
i think he was trying to sell me on "you need a bigger plan to get them" |
