Do some channels broadcast what amounts to a upcoverted picture?

Can't speak for Food Network but all film is actually better than HD. How they broadcast it is an issue for the channels to decide.

The carriage agreement between Chiller HD and Directv is in place, but they will not have their HD equipment ready until Oct-2008 (just in time for Halloween!).

Attention DIRECTV Subscribers

As of July 30, the Big Ten Network will reside on channel 610 as part of a system-wide realignment that includes other sports networks. The Big Ten Network will continue to be available on DIRECTV's CHOICE package.
whew! when I first started reading your post I was sure it was gonna end saying the Big 10 would now be part of the sportspack you have to pay xtra for. I would have been mad, as even though we get most buckey games I had to watch a couple on the big 10 channel last year.

Wow, you just love making fun of other people's posts while you are spreading major mis-information! If you would take the time to actually read my posts, you would know that Chiller will not even have their HD equipment ready until Oct-08. Of course, you don't believe anything I say, so why bother. Let's hear your "facts" as to why there will be no new channels until September.

The only predictions I've made is the current mpeg-2 HD channels being converted to mpeg-4 HD. Is this enough proof for you????

DIRECTV will also transmit all of its HD programming in the MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding standard, by the end of this month - the first to do so in the industry.

DIRECTV Remains Clear HD Leader with 130 HD Channels on Tap for Mid-August

I don't have any more facts than you do but last week you were here saying the - D11 moved into it's final resting place - It'll start broadcasting HD programming in 2 weeks, just like D10 did !!

I'm not in anyway related, if anyway was actually a word.

I'm not any way related either.

Sorry, excuse my fast typing when making a post. I will be sure to run my future posts through a spell checker first.

Hummmmm ......

Anyway must be word, it's in the dictionary ......

Idea for the moderators....

Why not a forum (or thread) specifically titled "Bitchin', Arguing, Whining & Name Calling" ?????

I bet it would be the busiest thread here !!!

I don't understand your logic at all. Everything about my post is absolutely true. D11 was parked on 7/21/2008, and will start broadcasting before the end of the month (7/31/2008). If my math is correct, that is less than 2 weeks.

I was referring to your post about the Movies Now being downloaded through the internet connection, which is completely false. I see you have now decided to just make fun of poster's spelling.
