Hi,
In your list, you have Food Network HD *231-1.
i have the H20 receiver... is that really a -1 on the end? current FoodNetwork is on 231, so will i be entering 231dash1 using my remote? sorry for the dumb sounding question... I had the wife try it today, no luck...
much appreciated.

According to their earlier press releases, no, but long time subs say price changes usually occur around March.

I'll have to check that out. Luckily, I have a 360 and XBOX Live.

YEP! You can see a lot of detail in HD cartoons. I have ANT BULLY in HD-DVD. Pretty impressive.

No, when the HD versions are turned on, just hit 231 and you'll get the HD version. If you look at your guide though, you'll see both HD and SD versions listed, and if you scan up or down, you'll pass both channels. You can get rid of the SD versions by setting Favorite Channels and unchecking the SD versions.

forgive me if this is a newb question as there are about 87 threads on this topic and i haven't read them all. but don't you have to start with an HD source (ie HD camera) for me to see true HD on my TV? and if so are all these channels really going to be HD...i mean, HD foodnetwork? somehow i don't see Food Network springing for HD equiptment to bring one service provider $40 Dollars a Day in HD. Do some channels broadcast what amounts to a upcoverted picture?

I have had Food Network HD on Comcast for a couple months now. Granted I don't watch it all the time, so I can't say for sure if they have stretched SD material on it. But what I have seen looks fantastic. Especially Giada, WOW They do not show the same programs on the HD version and the SD at the same time like say TNT. They are specifically producing some shows to be on the HD version looking fantastic.

Why wouldn't they shell out? They have to be in HD sooner or later anyway, and Emeril didn't hire all that busty eye candy for nothing.
