Cool The Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote

The Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote puts you in control of your entire audio-video system with just one button. It΄s home entertainment the way it should be—simple.

Optimized for complicated HDTV and PVR systems, the Harmony 880 helps you tame tough configurations like switching your television between video aspect ratios depending on the program source. The interactive color display lets you quickly choose a 16:9 ratio for movies and HDTV, or a standard 4:3 ratio for basic television programming.

Default Harmony remotes

I do not think that the Harmony 880's are available until April 2005.

However, I just ordered a Harmony 676 yesterday. To program it, you use software that they provide to lookup the models of all of your equipment, then the codes are downloaded to the remote. Here is the product information:

I got mine for about $98 (after 25% mail in rebate) from the following online store.

Here is a link to some great forums on various remote controls:

Hope that helps.

Talking Kameleon - URC9960

They call it the OneForAll remote control..and it is truly a magnificent remote.

Controls up to 8 devices and has a Home Theater Mode. that can control all the devices in home theater at the same time (TV,PVR,DVD,Sat box or cable box, surround sound etc) as it combines the basic functions of these devices into one mode.

It has four macro modes for complex variations that will bring you to any desired configuration of components or a series of unique commands.

It can learn too..!

Controls TiVo as well.

The website is www.oneforall.com

It's a touch screen remote

Upgradeable for new control codes if you get a new device !!! (free)

I got rid of "six" remote controls with this baby ... !!!

The "user interface" for what they call programming is very easy to follow and they have very good instructions and a very well written user guide.

Regards
