Default Hr20 100 Ota

I just got the HR20 100 yesterday and was amazed how it received all of the Miami OTA stations almost 60 miles from here when my new TV and HR10 250 only received two of them. The weak channels 7-1 and 10-1 which are VHF now come through for the first time in a year. I waited until now to avoid the frustration with the HR20 people have been reporting but am very impressed with the PQ and features of this unit. I was able to keep the HR10 and the CSR gave me a good price, 97.00 for the new unit and slimline dish. They had the work order for an H20 so we changed to the HR20 and initially said it was 299.00. I told her I could order it on their web site for 199.00 so she changed to that, then after a few minutes she offered the 97.00 price so I am happy.

Receiving the OTA channels through the dish is a hit or miss proposition. It all depends on the location of your property when aiming dish towards Satellites and your local TV satations antenna all in one direction at the same time. The dish is not only a reflecter but, also an antenna.

What are you talking about? OTA and Satellite have zero to do with each other.

It's the strength of the HR20's OTA tuner, much stronger than the HR10.

The dish in no way acts as an OTA antenna. Very odd post.

The high gain UHF and VHF antennas are in the attic with a high gain amp because of the distance to Miami transmitters. Strange that both of the weak stations that I could never receive before came in when switching to the HR20 but now they are gone again. Maybe they are testing a higher power system?
