Default signal strength hr20 100

we had our hr20 installed today, it was a breeze because 5lnb was already in place supporting 3 h20's. after tech left i decided to check signal on hr20 100 and was suprised that signal readings were from a low of 96 on all sats to 100 on several transponders. the meter on receiver must be very generous because on h20 the readings vary from a low of 78 to the mid to high 80's which might be a little stingy. does anyone know how to explain this? thanks, bt

The H20 has always been about 20 % low, since day one, no problem, they numbers you have are correct.

What kind of problem(s) are you experiencing with the signal levels you are getting?

That will happen when they storm is severe enough, nothing you can do about it.
It's caused by the storm being dense and situated between you and the satellite. we all get it from time to time, usually last a minute or so sometime a bit longer, but I like it that way because if that happens to me, I know I need to batton down the hatches ... Give be advanced warning because the storms usually come from the SW and thats the same direction my dish points.
