Hate to say I told you so..
from DTVs website How To OrderGet MLB EXTRA INNINGS now for just 4 payments of $39.99 — a savings of $40 off the regular season price! (Must order DIRECTV service by 4/7/07 and activate by 4/15/07) Add MLB EXTRA INNINGS SuperFan to your MLB EXTRA INNINGS subscription now for just 4 payments of $9.75! That's 10 dollars more than last year, thats it. Normal price increase, hardly DTV putting the screws to the customer on the new deal. 149 last year, 159 this year.

I'm glad that this seems settled and that pricing and so forth are now being released. The pricing seems reasonable. Interested in the content that will be available with the Super Fan subscription. I hope NESN HD games will be available for the Red Sox.

The NESN games should be available right where they are now.
On 623 NESN-HD........if you are in the correct market to have the Sox as you're local anyway. If you are out of market then you will need MLB-EI and superfan for the HD broadcast. I know every game in Fenway is HD but not sure if every other market the Sox play in does HD (Royals??). NESN, Remdog, and Co do every game but I'm not sure if every stadium they travel to has an HD production setup for them. I can't remember what the case was last season.

So are you saying that I will have the ability to watch HD Sox games on NESN?? |

NESN website (actually Boston Globe.com) says ALL games will be in HD and 5.1. I have to think that the Sox
will be HD on SuperFan quite a bit with this being the case. I can't wait for this year. Their rotation this year is friggin absurd.http://www.boston.com/sports/nesn/pr...edules/redsox/

Whofan70 -- "So are you saying that I will have the ability to watch HD Sox games on NESN??"
I don't think so unless you sign up for MLB-EI and superfan. And from what I read elswere about NESN and DTV I'm not sure anybody with superfan will get a Sox game in HD -- unless they are in the Boston DMA (market). I've seen a couple of posts on this and the other DTV board alot of us visit where there is some type of issue of when or if NESN will make the HD signal available (2008?) or if everybody (coast to coast) will get NESN as a NATIONAL feed in HD instead. www. From you're initial post I did not know that you were in Atlanta so my answer was generic. I figured you might be in NE. I'm in the Boston market so I get NESN (Bruins and Sox) as one of my 4 local in local HD channels (MPEG-4). I get my RSN games on FSNE (Celtics) and they do the HD on 96 for those games. Allthough as of late I have not been getting those. Whofan70 -- As a side note, I see from you're post count that you are new to the forums -- welcome. One way to let folks know you're location without them asking is to update your info in the USER CP tab. That is how folks add their own avatar and equipment information to their signature. That way when you ask a question everybody knows in general where you are and what gear you have. That way it narrows down some of the possible answers.
