can you cascade the 6x8-- that is 4 cables in on the first one and the first 4 ports out to the 2nd 6x8. I have been told that you can as long as the cables match 1 to 1 and 2 to 2 and so on.

You can not pass multiple voltages (13vdc 18vdc) down the same cable at the same time. In the diagram above you will notice that the splitters and connected to the same voltages on each multiswitch so there is no conflict.

the frequency range would need to be cover the 250-2150mhz range that is coming off the slimline dish.

For this to work correctly or for any multiswitch connection to work correctly you would have to have all 4 lines connected. only 3 or 2 line you are not getting all of the voltages to the LNB for it to properly switch between sat location and /or transponders.

People keep saying that. I have my feed from a single LNB split to 2 receivers. Just a regular 5-2300 2-way splitter from Walmart.

The key in your situation is the fact that you have a single LNB.

can i hook up my reciver with out highdef to 1 of the output tvs on this switch (i live in a deplex and the guy next door as the only place for a dish to be mounted. so i can not hookup my reciver. can i hook up my receiver to one of his open ports on this switch with causing him problems? thanks

I have just installed a WB616 in my setup and am not receiving several of the HiDef channels I was getting without the switch in the circuit. Any ideas as to why and what could be wrong?

Will it work if only 3 of the 4 inputs are connected?
Also, do these work with the older 3LNB dishes?

I currently have the 5LNB Slimline dish, an older legacy non HD receiver and a HR20 HD DVR. The 2 receivers are each connected to one LNB output. That is I am only using 2 LNB connections. I would like to be abe to use the dual tuner feature on the HR20. Can I hook the WB68 to the cable coming into the HR20 and then hook 2 outputs from the WB68 to the 2 tuners or does the WB68 have to be hooked to all 4 LNB outputs.

All 4 lines from the LNB must be hooked up to WB68 inputs, or it will not work.
