Default Mirror satellite receiver on TV in another room?

When the technician installed DTV, she showed me a way that I could run an extra coax cable from a satellite receiver in one room (in my case a bedroom)to a basic satellite receiver (D10) in another room (living room), and hit a button to mirror what is showing in the first room (bedroom). Problem is she went through it so fast, I must have missed a step. Anybody give me the steps necessary to do this? Thanks in advance.

There is a basic way and that is to use the RF output on one Directv receiver, connect a TV in another room to the COAX cable connected to the RF output, then tune your TV to Channel 3/4. You only need 1 Directv receiver to accomplish this - it just has to have RF out. What you get is the exact same channel output to the 2 rooms.

You'll need to use a RF or IR repeater in order to change channels in both rooms. http://www.smarthome.com is a good source for repeaters.

You can not connect 2 DirecTV receivers together - they both must connect to your dish with their own cables.
