Yes, now if only I can get my installers to watch them. I don't remember the installer using signal receivers as shown in the video. As I mentioned in another thread, they have been here twice and still can't see the new Ka birds. From watching the videos, I think I basicaly understand the new system and how fine tuning is critical. I will be watching them with more understanding and "helping" them wether they like it or not. I think I could install the dish myself now that I have been "trained".

I had a problem with the links, so I fixed them. Don't know what happened - sometime it would work and sometimes not. I also made this a sticky.

I now think that another training video is needed to cover troubleshooting.

The problem that I was having was finally diagnosed as a bad LNB for Sat 119. It took three installation teams to figure that out. Everthing is working fine now. Thanks to all that tried to help.

Good vidios. I can use what I learned to show the installers how to do it when locals are available in my area. An important thing that they stressed is the type of cable to use (RG-6 with SOLID Copper center wire) and compression connectors (Not the crimp type) Since the frequencies are so much higher very good connections are very important. Also there is more of a chance for outside interferrence to effect the signal. Could be why so many complain about poor PQ.

I have an HR10-250 and an OTA ,the problem I am having is that some of my OTA channels are viewable and recordable while some are only viewable once I switch back to Digital T.V. I was wondering if I was missing something in my setup to pick up the rest of the OTA channels with my HR10-250?

can i hook up a 5 lbn dish by myself without a in-line meter. I seen the video they show the in-line meter but what about the meter that you can look up on your reciever.
