TNT-HD is channel 75 on D*. Not all broadcasts are in HD though.

Check your channel listing in the setup options. You may simply not have channel 75 set up to show.

Say hello to Tom and Aunt Polly and Jim for me, Huck.

Does anyone have any news or even rumors on what new national HD channels DirecTV might add to the line up next year once the new satellites are launched and on line?

I heard NESN would be sometime in 2007, I know its not a national broadcast but it will be nice to have..other than that not so sure , I'm surprised Comedy Cent. is'nt in hd yet ,very weak on their part.

I remember when I first subscribed to DTV just before last seasons SuperBowl. Over that summer they constantly advertised that they would be launching numerous satellites providing a ridiculous number of channels in the very near future. Anyone remember these ads? The TV's all turned themselves toward the sky. Anyway other than TNT going HD, I haven't noticed much change. I hope there is some news of some big changes soon.

Those adds were all about local channels in HD. They did launch those sats, and they now have 100's of locals in HD.

As for NESN, it's already live if you live in that DMA, as are several other RSN's.

I seriously doubt NESN will be available to everyone on DTV in HD. But I hope you are right.

I had Fox Sports Ohio on last weekend for the Louisville vs. Kansas St. football game...it was in STD, but they said it was in HD....I just happened to check over on the "wildcard" stations such as 94, 95, 96, etc., and there it was!!! In full HD. Could it be that if a Fox Sports channel is broadcasting a game in your market in HD, you can find it on one of those channels? NFL network is the same way when they do HD programming...they show up on one of those channels.

DTV is showing all Fox Sports college HD games (usually 1 per week, sometimes none) on 94 or 95.

Next week it's Washington v.s USC at 7pm ET. Should be on in the 90's.

I have seen that Food Network and NGC are in HD, but, D does not show them that way. If there is no (HD) next to the channel are we still receiving them in HD if they are broadcast in HD?

As long as we're giving them our money, they have no reason to live up to any "promise" they've made.

EVERYTHING THEY HAVE EVER SAID ABOUT HD LOCALS IS A LIE.
