Well I am really finishing up now. Any further changes will have to wait until next channel additions.

I have separated the HD Extra Package and renamed the MPEG-2 category.

Check out the 3 formats with the pdf (can be resized easily) in the zip file.

If you find anything I missed then please let me know (for next time).

Thanks DodgerKing for doing the Copy & Paste. Can't get the format to look right or I would do it myself.

Thank you for making that a sticky that is visible. I wish I knew how to do it myself. I wish that I could post a pdf that is visible in a smaller size but can be viewed in it's entirety when clicking on it.

However I have updated this one a couple of times to correct errors and add new information. The latest can be found here:

rbinck, I only found this post by switching from linear to hybrid. I then replied to you and switched back to linear and tried to find your post but couldn't. Why am I missing some posts when I use linear?

Today DirecTV launched 6 HD Regional Sports & National channels and also 7 PPVHD channels.

Here is the confirmed list in pdf (contained in zip file) and in jpg on 2 pages and png on 2 pages.

Please reference this reply when posting a copy as it take some time to gather the info, put it in the table and proof read.

You're right thanks.

Are you sure about Encore E & W I was not aware they are up in HD D*'s website does not list them?

When I try to go to the Science Channel HD, a message appears at the bottom that the channel had not been purchased. I thought that all the channels were free for a certain period of time. I still receive the 3 channels in the HD Extra Package. This doesn't make sense to me. Any help is appreciated.

I beleive that Channel 96 is no longer used for Fox Sports Net HD in the area of Fox Sports Net West and Fox Sports Prime Ticket as they are now part of the Mpeg -4. My guide does not show any channel 96

I was originally told that Encore East and West were included on the first day's additions. With the combining of the lists into one list for the table format and the other errors I was correcting, I simply missed that they weren't added after all.

I made the changes and they will be included with then next batch of additions.

Not sure if this has been posted before, so I apologze if it has. I was upset after watching my Hockey team in SD on Center Ice and lamenting the few HD games I could get on Versus or some of the other Regional Sports Channels. After listening to Phil Esposito on XM Radio say he had HD Center Ice games I was doing a slow burn. Not having anything else to do around Midnight, I clicked on Menu, went to Favorites and checked all the channels to see what I could get. Low and behold, there are HD channels for each of the Center Ice channels. All the games were over, so I am waiting for tonights games to see if I get the games that are broadcast in HD as HD! Can't wait! Let me know if this is old information or not!

Oh, while I was looking through the channels I found a few other HD channels I had not turned on. The reason I did it instead of showing all channels is it is a pain to have the SD and the HD channels to flip through. I now know that I have to be more diligent in looking at favorites more often to make sure I am getting all the HD channels DirecTV has to offer.

Never fear, the favorites were created for us so only the channels that we are interested in appear in the guide. Now if we can just get D* to turn on the "Channels Received" list in the H/HR-20's then we we turn off the channels we don't get or hate so they don't appear in searches.

Good Catch after several minutes of double checking; D* confirms that this channels is gone.

Here are all of the MPEG-2 & MPEG-4 HD channels that D* offers as of 10-17-07 in pdf (zipped), png, and jpg.

This is completely verified and all of the channels that are offered are now categorized, separated by MPEG type.

There are 2 new RSN's that were added yesterday that have not been added to the channel 92 HD Channel Guide. There are also some other things that D* has wrong in that list, so my guide is more up to date.

Of course I am only human so if you find a typo the please let me know.

How can the Speed Network be on now. I thought it was launching during speed weeks in February.

Although even without it, this is a very impressive list.

How much per month for 3 HD boxes and 2 SD boxes for the full HD package?(Just an estimate is OK)

I'm about to sign up and Speed is the main reason (besides NFL Network which Comcast dropped completly unless I sign up for another tier-and it ain't even HD!)
Speed is listed on the website so I hope it's here to stay. When I watch it in SD on Comcast they've gone widescreen so I know it's an HD signal they are sending out to the providers.

One question : Is it worth paying the $5.99 "service" fee? Or will they charge me whenever they come out (if I'm having a problem) if I don't sign up for it? I asked this 3 weeks ago i in another thread and no one replied. Anybody know? I'd hate to pony up an extra $5.99 a month and not need it.
