HLN HD (204), Cooking HD (232), H2 HD (271), Encore Action HD (541) & IFC HD (559) are all live!!!

Does HD mean 1080i or ? on those channels when I click on the format button it reads 480p

1080i or 720p depending on which channels you're talking about. Some HD channels still have a lot of SD, 480i programming on them.

And the reason is -Most of the content was (ie) filmed & or recorded way before HD.

1080i. but if you call direct tv they say there 1080p and there must be something wrong with my tv to not get 1080p.
