Nice, but I'm quite happy with the HR34 (don't need Genie anyway), and since college football is over and no Pac-12 for Bball, I may just go on hiatus anyway. Haven't even had the unit on for about 3 days.

You pry dont know if you havent used a hr24 h25 combo, super fast, no glitchers in the guide, and WAY faster than a client....

Confused

Why throw out your HR34?

You don't own it.

DIRECTV will charge you a huge fee if your throw out "their" HR34.

He didn't mean it literally. He was joking about the people who absolutely MUST have the latest receiver and have been getting HR34s recently and will now consider them old tech and demand an HR44. They would then return the newly acquired HR34.

On my HR34, I'm unable to listen to Pandora and view programing at the same time. I don't have that problem with my other DVR HR24. Has that problem been resolved with the new HR44?

First -I would suggest you use the remote -menu -setting- resart the receiver.

Then try to listen to pandora again and see if that fixes it.

I am not a new DirecTV customer just the reverse, and I got a free upgrade in april/may and was expecting the 34 and got the 44. I know this is a little late in the game but the new ones don't always get the newest equipment.

No, it's the same on both Genie boxes. And it is actually designed that way, for some reason.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll just keep a few of the HR24s for viewing sporting events and Pandora for music.
