Nice, but I'm quite happy with the HR34 (don't need Genie anyway), and since college football is over and no Pac-12 for Bball, I may just go on hiatus anyway. Haven't even had the unit on for about 3 days.

hmm, you like your 34??? its the slowest box they have made in the last 4 years!!

You pry dont know if you havent used a hr24 h25 combo, super fast, no glitchers in the guide, and WAY faster than a client....

Confused My 34 is the fastest of any DTV STB I have ever had.

Why throw out your HR34?

You don't own it.

DIRECTV will charge you a huge fee if your throw out "their" HR34.

He didn't mean it literally. He was joking about the people who absolutely MUST have the latest receiver and have been getting HR34s recently and will now consider them old tech and demand an HR44. They would then return the newly acquired HR34.
