I have a spare RC65X remote left over from our H34/700 receiver work as an RF controller for an older H20/100 receiver we have?
I already have the screw in RF antenna on the H20 and have a RC64RB remote now. Going to add a powered splitter and a second TV in my daughter's room; plan keeping the current RF remote in the kitchen and the second she can keep in her room. If the RC65X won't work I assume the RC64R will also work; don't care about the backlit display.

The "R" is the code for RF Controller - SO The 64R4 will and 65X shouldn't that doesn't mean you couldn't try to program it to be sure.

Just tried for grins. Does not work - not a bid deal but figured if I had the extra remote I could save $15.00
Another question: If I order another 64R remote can I add it as a second remote to the H20 so I have two different remotes that can control the same receiver on RF mode? If so; do I have to run the RF setup procedure on the receiver again? - Start back in IR mode and run the RF setup w/ the new remote. - After I have done the RF setup w/ the new remote will my original remote also work in RF mode? BTW - we also have an HR24 running in RF mode controlled by a 65RX; IIRC the DTV tech mentioned that the RF controllers we're programmed / dedicated to each receiver to avoid cross-over.

First gather all your remotes Second reset the receiver to IR Third Start RF programming -When doing this -you can program additional remotes (including your existing remote) at that time. The installer remote info is correct. I still have a H20 in my setup and have 2 remotes I use it to push PIP and feed another SD TV in my gargage where I have one remote 150' feet away and one in my main tv room to control PIP for other football games as needed. The H20 is the only D* receiver that will allow the Signal to be split the old way without getting the nag screen about resolution and having to reconfig your external whole setup.
