3D channels not recognized in guide....is my TV compatible?

I have an HR24/500 HD-DVR

My TV is a SAMSUNG 50" CLASS 550 SERIES 1080P PDP

Using HDMI connection directly from DVR to the TV.

The only reason I could see it not working is if perhaps the TV is not on the compatible list of TVs?

Does the DVR require a red button reset first or something to pick up the new 3D compatible TV's settings?

Oh and just to compare, my PS3 is connected via an HDMI cable and the very first time I turned it on with the new TV it recognized immediately that it was a 3D capable TV.

Try -swapping the HDMI cable connected to the PS3 with the one connected to the D* box.

I agree-I think they are lumped in with HD-Extra pack-so the HDMI cable won't be a factor unless they are all ready a sub of that package.

From Directv: "Advanced Receiver Service-HD is required to access any HD 3D channels. There will be no extra charge for n3D™, 3net, DIRECTV on DEMAND 3D or ESPN 3D. DIRECTV Cinema™ in 3D will be $1.00 more per movie than the current HD movie price." If you have HD service you should receive the channels. What is the model number of your TV? Are you using a custom guide, and if so, have you added the 3D channels to your guide?
