Default Need help buying a hdtv that does not have a high pitch

I recently bought a Panasonic Plasma tv and when I turn it on, it emits a high pitch. I am very noise sensitive and its making my ears ring.
Can anyone recommend a tv for around $1000 that does not make a high pitch?
Any help would be appreciated.

What model of Panasonic did you have that made the buzzing? I recently bought an LG/Zenith 42" plasma that makes a constant high pitched squealing. I used to own a 42" Panasonic plasma PZ85U that did not make any such sort of sound.

I am tempted to return my LG for a Panasonic TC-P42X3 but want to know beforehand if anyone else has experience with that set making odd sounds. I know my old Panny did not.

Apparently they don't all do it. I think I have at least average hearing and the two Panasonic plasma sets I have had don't have the problem. But my newer one is about 3 years old now so maybe it's only the new ones.

Have you tried calling Panasonic customer service? you may be able to get it fixed under warranty.

You may find some useful suggestions on this forum: http://www.highdefforum.com/flat-panel-tvs-38/

I ended up buying a Sharp lc-60e69u
It does make a sound, but not enough to bother me or make my ears ring
