Default direct tv will lie to you!

Yes , I have had service with DTV for 6 months now and this is what i have learned. Customer service will lie to you and they will charge you for everything that they can get away with. You live and learn!
I am new to this forum but not new to the game of what good business is.

What did they lie to you about? I have been with them at my place for almost 3 years and have never had any hidden charges I didn't know about show up on my bill.

basically all the companies will lie to you. You can say directv is the worst, then go to Dish and find out that even though they're the cheapest, they'll rack more charges on you for changing plans or suspending service or just raise their rates even though you're in a contract.

I look at how fast they can send out a tech when they say he/she will be out that day, how much information I can get out of customer service before filing a complaint and if I can receive their channels without major problems.

I'm happy that I'm with directv and have had no major problems or signal loss. I tried going with dish because it was cheaper, my neighbors had it and tried to have a referral discount but for some odd reason, I could not get dish or get qualified for dish no matter how many customer service reps I talked to, so I went with Directv.

I don't know about the op. But for me I moved in september and had to pay for the channels that were free for 3 months. I have gotten none of the discounts that were promised me, my bill has fluctuated every month inspite of there being no changes in the timespan. I had no problems at all the first year, but this second year has been terrible.

It is frustrating. Our bill went up $20 and they could not quite explain it to me. Should have gone up $4 with the 2010 price increase and apparently we were getting a $10 discount we should not have been getting but they can't explain the extra $6 increase. I switched to regular paper bills since we have not been able to see the bill through the bank or directv. It is frustrating.

Perhaps it's the DVR Fee that would be the $6 Difference the other would be has your state added a Sales Tax?

Why you can't see your bill on any web site (bank or D*) is a browser issue Settings or malware.

Going paperless is a $5 reduction.

Apparently to get the bill through the bank we have to request that they send it to us each time.

I am not sure why you are unable to see your Bill from DirecTV online. I was able to log in and see my past 10 statements and all the charges on them.

We had direct pay through the bank and because we were supposed to see the bill from the bank, DTV would not let us see it through them. Strange, I know.

Do you mean it would be an automatic withdrawal from your account? Because that is what I do and I am still able to log in to my DirecTV account online and view my statements.
