Default screen momentarily freezes every few seconds

Hi All,

I just recently started having trouble with my Direct TV, I think. every second or so the picture will freeze for a few milliseconds, just enough to see it and then it will return to normal for maybe a second or 2. The audio seems to be doing it to though not as badly. I have also tried playing back a few programs that were recorded before we noticed the problem and they do it too. I reset the reciever last night and it seemed to fix the problem until this morning.

I have a HR22-100 reciever hooked to a Panasonic Viera thru an HDMI cable. The Audio is connected to my sound system thru RCA's

any ideas?

Thanks,

Todd

The hard drive in the DVR could be going bad.

Either that or the dish itself needs to be realigned or the LNB's are bad. In any case, it's time to call for service.

Let's hope you have the protection plan.

If you don't have the protection plan is only $20 to swap out a bad DVR.

If they need to send a tech. to re-align the dish and you don't have the protection plan it's only $50.
