Hey there friends.
First, here are the components: DTV Receiver - HR23-700 A/V Receiver - Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH TV - Samsung PN50A650 Now here's the issue: When I am switching from one HD channel to another HD channel (or from an HD to an SD or vice versa), my tv screen goes black and then flashes green a few times and then the show appears. If I'm going from SD to SD this doesn't happen; it seems to only happen when an HD channel is involved. Also, when the flashing has finished sometimes the new channel will state that the "Mode is not Supported", but the audio is there. I have another HD receiver with another company (Echo), but this does not happen when making the switches there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much. Cheers! J |

Try turning you DTV set to native on? Try setting it to off and only check the receiver to output 1080i only and see if it still happens. I think what you are seeing is the resolution change. It makes the screen go crazy for a second. Slows chanel changing alot

I keep my receiver to output 1080i and 1080P only. If you TV can support the 1080P you can check that also. That resolution is really only used for PPV and some on demand movies. Not every TV supports 1080P. You'll just have to do the test and find out if you're set does.

Also your Samsung TV probably does not support 480i over HDMI (that's where the "mode not supported" message comes from) so you definitely need to UNcheck that one.
