Default Directv Subcontractor Information

Does anyone know how to become a subcontractor for Directv?

I am a installation Tech who has had it with the two subs I have been working for in Texas. These subs are the most disorganized, dishonest people I have ever had the misfortune to come across, truly the posts I have read here about bad experiences with techs are true, but the majority of techs are there to do a job and do it right. What we as techs are dealing with is the scum of the earth employers who manipulate, embezzle, lie cheat and steal.

I would like to change this by becoming a subcontractor and treating techs and customers with respect and honor.

So has anyone had experience with this?

Where are you on Texas? Matsec currently has the strong hold right now. You could try and work for a retailer, but the work load won't be as steady. I work for a great company in Ft. Worth

I live in DFW and since I need the steady work, I find myself working for TWC in Dallas. I dont have to climb onto 2 story houses lugging up a 45 lb dish. I do have to climb 30+ foot poles but have the proper safety gear for it. The sub that I work with currently pays over $120 for a complete triple play, not including wireless which is $40 more. I average 4 jobs a day, not all are triple plays, 5 days a week.

I work out of the Austin market...

I am an independent contractor working for a sub-contractor working for Mastec.

Now I have no complaints with Mastec, the problems are with the Subs of Mastec. We are getting $45/1 outlet NEW INSTALLS and $35 flat rate upgrades!

What I'd really like to know is if there is a possibility to subcontract for Mastec and thus cut out the pathetic middle man subcontractor?

I am SBCA certified with 3 years doing DTV installations. I also have the ability to move 10 certified and qualified installers immediately upon finding either a way to subcontract in this market and/or find a subcontractor worth his salt.

Also I am open to the Marble Falls market if anyone out there pays any better!
