Rca hdtv codes

I have a 32 inch rca 720 hdtv that is about 4 months old and i have tried every direct tv remote codes for the tv without any code working. Can anyone help? Thanks

Put your remote slider on TV. hold down MUTE and SELECT at the same time, you will see the green light on the remote flash twice. When it flashes, press 9 9 1 1 then press the power on button, then press channel up one at a time until your tv turns off. when it turns off, press select and slide your remote slider back to DTV
