Default Sony 34' Wide Flat Screen Trinitron (bad color)

I have a flat wide screen 34" Sony Trinitron Wega HD Tube and the top and top corners are green. TV is only 6 years old. What are my options? Thanks

Are you serious?

Why ask us, I'd take it to a repair shop.

Could be so many things we couldn't help you too much.

Sorry, good luck!

Sounds like a possible magnetic interference.
Have you placed anything on top of it or near it that was not there before?

Default external speaker placement?

Having them too close can cause problems. I once ruined a monitor once by placing a magnet on top of it. Unit was replaced, not sure if degaussing would have corrected the problem?

Fidola13,

Try moving your center speaker off your set. My center speaker is 8" below or underneath with no problem.

Get one of those cheap magnetic hoop things that "demagnetize" the screen as you pass it round and round like black magic.
If that doesn't work you can go into the back and twiddle the dynamic magnets, but be warned it's a fine art...I was good at it once but like timiing a distributor it has become a lost art.
It's called a problem of "convergence."
An old saw was once to move the set...if North- South make it East-West.

If the set is 10 years old, throw it out!

I agree with you. Magnets really cause many problem in CRT tv. Most of the purplish and bluesh effects all are due to magnet interference. I also manage to ruin my monitor by placing speakers too close to my monitor
