Default HDMI to old tv

I could use a way to convert HDMI/componet to old analog.
I only need the video and there is no way i'm paying 100+ for something.

So i was thinking HDMI/componet to DVI to VGA to rf/s-video/componet

Someone told me that wouldn't work

Thank you for your time.

Would there be a way to use the DTV convertor box?

Or an old monitor?

perhaps even connect it to my laptop?

There is no way to do that with a bunch of adapters since you would need to convert the signal from digital to analog. I would suggest the HDFury 2 to you since it's main purpose is displaying HDMI sources on older TVs, but it is about 150.00.

Thank you so much for answering! I truly do appreciate it!

Anyway does that really work? After some more researching I heard that those things are scams.

Also at $150 i mite as well just spend the $300-600 it would cost me for basic LCD HD TV

Thumbs up I agree

It makes no sense to convert HDMI to analog video. What's the use ??? Spend the extra $ on a new HDTV as you stated. You'll be MUCH happier in the long run !! And, as prices are really dropping now, you ought to be able to find some really good deals !!
