I LOVE the picture quality when it works. But is repair cost effective?
It will probably cost several hundred bucks to fix, for that money you can buy a decent lcd. I wouldnt waste any money on a repair.

I hate to burst anyones bubble, but this tv will not do 1080p, although they have a wonderful PQ, I just want to tell you, I paid $600.00 brand new in box at CC in 06. This TV now is worth -well close to $50.00 if any. Consider this, Wally World had a Sony bravia 40" @ $485.00 just last week. Not a top model, but new and like so much lighter. I still run my Sony CRT. Last yr I put it on CL, Just to see if there was any bites. 0 calls, even at $100.00! Too big-heavy and bulky. 40" deep, 2 ft wide, by 2 ft high.
