Default SONY kv32fs100

This is the tv in my bedroom it has a great picture and with a standard dvd player I always had a decent picture well that dvd player died my repacement is an HD A-20 to upconvert my older dvds and also be a decent replacement should my HD A-30 decide to take a crap.heres the prob.when I hook up through the componet red bl. gr./white red...I dont get a picture is this set not capable of this hookup I also tried to hook up my a-30 the same way and it also did not work can I get it to work this way .....

I don't believe that to be a HD TV and in that case, no it will not work.

The KV32FS100 was Sony's budget 32" set in their Wega line. It is an analogue TV and its component-video input can only accept 480i (SD interlaced) signals. If you connect any type of player other than a SD interlaced scan player to that TV using its component-video input, then the player must be configured to output 480i.

As I thought. So if you can somehow configure your player for 480i (by hooking it up to a HD TV) then you should be able to see a picture.

Thanks for the heads up I will take the A-20 in to the living room hook it up to my sony lcd bravia and go in with the menu and look for the setting change ......

Thanks for the answer I appreciate it greatly I guess the A-20 was overkill but I will upgrade to a flat panel in that room so I can get all the player has to offer but for now the kv will have to do...

Default Works now

Went in to menu changed output to 480i not quite HD but all TV has to offer, player works as it should,Thanks friends ...GO EAGLES....
