Default Sony KD-34XS955 owners

3 months old and picture died. Turns out the TV has a circuit that shuts the TV off if it detects something wrong-ie a likely voltage fluctuation but not enough for a spike that the surge protector will catch. Fix is to unplug from the wall for 10 sec and plug back in to reset that circuit. It works fine now. Why isn't this simple fix in the manual? Try this before calling a service tech. Love the picture, by the way.
