What is HD?

I have a Samsung HDTV & just after the year warranty expired, it because getting blurry on the sides of the screen, with blue horizontal lines going across, up & down. Here's a picture - anyone know what could be causing this?

If NOT you can still do it and if you contact Samsung and explain your problem nicley they may extend your warranty of agree to some form of adjustment. I had an Issue with a DLP -Set 2yrs out and they agreed to waive the labor charge on repairs even tho I was out of warranty. |

The blurriness on the sides is normal for widescreen HD tube TV's. This is because the image is getting stretched across the screen. I had 2 of them, one by Samsung and one by LG. I had the BB guys come out several times and I had this explained to my on multiple occasions. They don't make them anymore, if you look for them. The horizontal lines I have not seen before and cannot be of help.
