Default Samsung TX-P3075WH 720p

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my HDTV. I THINK the model is TX-P3075WH, though it might be an older model (I bought it off some guy last summer from craigslist). Anyway, when I try to display in 720p (Either on my PS3 or HD-DVD player) I get the picture split 3-ways, fuzzy and discolored. At 1080i it looks fine but since most of my PS3 games are in 720p if it won't play in 720p I have to play my games in 480p. Any help in the matter would be much appreciated. I guess if you know of a way to get my PS3 to upscale 720p games to 1080i that would be good as well, though I haven't seen any settings indicating that I can do that.
