Default Strange Problem With VGA to HDTV

I have my Sony Vaio laptop (VGN-FE890) hooked up to my Sharp LC-32SB24U LCD TV with a VGA cable. I've been experiencing the same problem for quite awhile, and I can't figure out what I should do.

Here is what happens:
Most of the time, the image and audio are perfectly fine. But every so often, the picture and sound on both the TV and the PC shut off briefly, and then come back on. Sometimes, the computer's picture comes back but the TV's doesn't. When the image does come back on the TV, it displays the resolution (1024x768) in the corner as if I just hooked up the VGA input. It almost seems like it loses the signal briefly and then gets it back again (sometimes.)

I'm hoping this is a problem that can be fixed and not a problem with my TV (although it is under warranty.)

Any ideas?

My guess is the PC is overheating. I have a video card that has a passive heat sink cooler. It kept going off like that and I fixed it by placing a small CPU fan to blow on the heat sink.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
This above are not the greatest for integrated video graphics it's always slower than Nivida and ATI PCI-E are 100% better.

Your max res is 1280 x 800

Call Sony and have them send a out tech to check the system. The board cooling fan might be starting to fail. Or buy a cooling laptop pad with aluminum like ANTEC.
