Default Help Can't play hd files


Hi guys, can anyone help me
i can't play hd AVI files on my computer

the resolution of the files is 1280x720 50 f/s
audio bit rate is 1536
Video bit rate varies but it is around 24200 kbps

the files are a capture files from jvc proHD camcorder
WMP plays them as a sound files and all i get it is this ckracling noise
I've used VLC, real, DivX, Nero and other players but i had no luck
I have install h.264 codecs
I've used editing software like edius 4.6, Ulead media studio 8.0 and Vegas studio and i get the same noise
Please help

50 frames per second seems a bit much for video file, especially one at 720p.

First I would get a tool like media info: http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

I use it and it helps determine exactly what format the audio and video streams are. Just because a file has a .AVI extention doesn't determine the format of the video stream. It will also give you links to websites for codecs or players.

Also, some older computers have trouble playing HD content if they have an old single-core processor. What are your computer specs? That is not likely to be the problem though, if your computer was slow then it would play the movie slow... instead of not at all.

maybe those hd videos require that you use a computer monitor that supports built-in hdcp

I've installed maxtor codec m703 and again no luck
