Change XP into Vista or make XP like MCE/Black

Now there are Vista Transformation Packs out their I am still up in the air with though packs. They do a look of cools things to make XP look just like Vista in graphics and also change the task manager into that cool 3D windows effect.

Now!

How about downloading the freeware Energy Blue Theme that would turn your XP into XP MCE (media center edition 2005 graphics) Then download XP Black Theme to really make it as close to Vista without taxing your system.

Note: WinFlip can make you have this.. It's for free and it does work.

Let you know WinFlip doesn't need to be installed. I just place the folder in my C:\Program Files folder and then create a shortcut and put that shortcut in my start-up folder.

One more need trick is to change the XP icons to Vista Icons I found this site that teaches you how to do it with freeware tools doesn't look hard but I'll give it a try. Sometimes when you un-install the Vista Transformation Pack 8.01 it leaves behind the icons from Vista in XP.

Icon tweaker worked

1. download icon tweaker
2. install icon tweaker
3. unzip the icon_vista
4. double click on the icon tweaker file
5. in icon tweaker click on vista
6. click apply and all the xp icons will now be vista icons

Now...

Take a look at this... it's a freeware theme in a sharp looking black..

Pretty much the same as what I had described above but more enhanced. Also the Start button is replaced by Vista circle flag.

No not for this stuff additional... Just for Vista Transformation Pack 8.01 only was the post about. You had wondered if the pack would make the system slow or unstable. Well this way memory free is about the same without using the Vista Transformation Pack. With the Pack running memory drops by 150,000KB. Still the Pack has some issues. Doing it this way above avoids those issues.

I was given VISTA I installed it. I hated it and disabled all the vista stuff in order to make as simple as XP. XP simply works. Vista is getting better though.

what's different about Vista than XP ? I've got vista on all my home PC's and XP on the pc i run at work and honestly i don't notice a difference. Granted the only programs i use are word excel outlook powerpoint and explorer, and a special program for sales at my job. Other than a change in looks i don't really notice a difference between the 2...so i'm just curious what the differences are.
