Default PC spec needed to play Blu Ray/HD DVD?

Just ordered myself a Pioneer BCD-S02 combo kit. Im not sure if my PC will be able to handle it though!!!! could someone advise me?

Here is my PC spec:

Windows XP media edition
Intel dual core 2.67 GHz
2gb Ram
Nvidia GeForce 640mb 8800 GTS
Mirai 22" LCD
2x 320 hard disk drives

Thanks for that link. I've been looking for one like that. That assumes you don't have a hardware decoder video card like the NVIDIA PureVideo or the ATI ATIVO. Lower speed CPUs could be used with the hardware decoders.

That's true and the OP appears to have a decent enough video card, but it's been my experience that for very smooth 1080p playback...those specs can't go down too much.

Yes the hardware decoding is needed for smoother playback
